Date With a Melon Smoothie |

The original of this recipe was found in the 2000 cookbook, Ultimate Smoothies. Preparation time does not include the chilling of the dates for 2 hours. Ingredients:
10 pitted dates, diced |
2/3 cup boiling water |
1 1/2 cups peach nectar |
1 tablespoon honey |
2 cups cantaloupe, diced |
2 large bananas |
Directions:
1. In a container, combine dates & boiling water, then set aside for 15 minutes before covering & chilling in the refrigerator for 2 hours. 2. When chilled, drain the dates, then in a blender, combine the dates & all the other ingredients, processing until smooth. 3. Pour into 2 tall glasses & ENJOY! |
