I love nuts and dates and cherries, this is my kind of cake, just enough sugar and flour to call it a cake. Ingredients:
4 cups nuts |
1 lb dates, chopped |
1 cup candied cherry |
1 cup flour |
1 cup sugar |
1 teaspoon salt |
3 teaspoons baking powder |
4 eggs, beaten |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. Mix nuts, dates and cherries in a large bowl. 2. Combine flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder. 3. Sprinkle flour mixture over fruit; mix well. 4. Add beaten eggs and vanilla. 5. Mix throughly. 6. Bake in tube pan at 275 degrees fahrenheit for 1 hour and 15 minutes. |
