Ingredients:
3 cups sugar |
1 cup dates, chopped |
1 cup walnuts |
1 cup milk |
2 tablespoons butter |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. In a medium sauce pan, mix sugar, dates, butter and milk. 2. Cook for 10 - 15 minutes. 3. Remove from heat and add walnuts, and vanilla. 4. Beat until it thickens. 5. Pour onto a cleaned dish towel (NOT TERRY CLOTH). Make sure the towel is wet but not soaking wet-little over damp. Roll it lengthwise and put into fridge until it has completely cooled. 6. Unroll the wrap and slice. |
