Eliza Patton's recipe. Ingredients:
1 egg, well beaten |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 cup cut up dates |
1/4 lb butter, she used margarine |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1/2 cup chopped nuts |
2 cups rice krispies |
flaked coconut |
Directions:
1. Boil first 4 ingredients 3 minutes. 2. Add vanilla and nuts. 3. Remove from stove and add Rice Krispies. 4. Shape into balls and roll in coconut. |
