These are easy and yummy Ingredients:
1 cup sugar |
1 egg |
1 cup dates, pitted & cut up |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup butter |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
2 1/2 cups rice krispies |
1/2 cup nuts, finely chopped |
powdered sugar or shredded coconut or finely chopped nuts or cocoa, to roll the balls in |
Directions:
1. In a large sauce pan, mix sugar, eggs, dates, salt, & butter. 2. Cook over medium heat untill thick, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add vanilla, cereal and 1/2 cup chopped nuts. Mix well, and allow to cool slightly. Form into one inche balls and roll in you choice of powdered sugar, coconut, cocoa or nuts. 3. Makes about 2 dozen. 4. These freeze well. |
