Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened |
2 tablespoons sugar |
1 egg |
2 cups all-purpose flour |
1 tablespoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 cup milk |
3/4 cup chopped dates |
4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled |
Directions:
1. Cream butter; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add egg; beat until blended. 2. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Stir in dates and crumbled bacon. 3. Spoon batter into greased muffin pans, filling two-thirds full. Bake at 400° for 20 minutes. |
