2 cups all-purpose flour |
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar |
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/3 cup chilled stick margarine, cut into small pieces |
1/2 cup chopped pitted dates |
1/2 cup 1% low-fat milk |
3 tablespoons maple syrup |
cooking spray |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400°. 2. Combine first 5 ingredients in a bowl; cut in margarine with a pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add dates; toss well.
