Chocolaty, chewy, nutty indulgence that's good for your heart! Dark chocolate, walnuts and oats are all a good boost for your heart health. Another great recipe from Reader's Digest. Number of servings depends on how many bars you cut. Ingredients:

1/4 cup maple syrup |
1/4 cup honey |
2 tablespoons reduced-fat peanut butter |
1 egg white |
1 tablespoon fat-free evaporated milk |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1 cup whole wheat flour |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice |
2 cups old fashioned oats |
1 1/2 cups crisp rice cereal |
1/3 cup dark chocolate chips |
1/4 cup dried cranberries |
1/4 cup chopped walnuts |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. 2. Combine first 7 ingredients in a large bowl. 3. Combine next 4 ingredients in another bowl; add to sugar ingredients. 4. Add remaining ingredients. 5. Press into 13x9-inch baking pan coated with cooking spray. 6. Bake 18-20 minutes. 7. Score surface with shallow cuts to make bars. 8. Cool on wire rack then finish cutting into bars. |
