My neighbour brought this over one day and it was about the best chocolate cake I had eaten. Ingredients:
2 cups sugar |
1 3/4 cups flour |
2 teaspoons baking soda |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1 teaspoon salt |
5/8 cup cocoa |
2 eggs |
1 cup buttermilk or 1 cup plain balkan style yogurt |
1 cup cold strong black coffee |
1 cup olive oil (or vegetable oil) |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. Combine dry ingredients (1st 6) then add all the rest (last 5). 2. Beat with electric mixer at medium speed for 2 minutes. Batter is thin. 3. Pour into greased and floured Bundt pan or 13x9x2” pan. 4. Bake at 350°F 35 – 40 minutes. |
