Great to chew on when you want something not to sweet.
Ingredients:
2 cups sifted flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon clove
1/2 cup margarine
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sour cream
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped dates
1/2 cup ground walnuts
Directions:
1. Oven 350* Grease 15x10 pan.
2. Melt marg, remove from heat.
3. Add sugar and beat until smooth.
4. Add sour cream, vanilla and egg.
5. Beat smooth.
6. Add rest ingredients, stirring in dates and nuts.
7. Spread on baking sheet.
8. Bake for 30 minutes.
9. Cool on rack and cut into diamond shapes.
