This is another old recipe of my mothers. It's at least 50 years old or more. I don't know where she got it but it is very good and buttery.I am going to guess on the amount of cookies it makes. I know it makes a lot. They also freezes well. Ingredients:
5 -5 1/2 cups flour |
2 cups granulated sugar |
1 lb butter, room temperature |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
2 eggs |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Cream together sugar and butter. 3. Add eggs which have been slightly beaten. 4. add salt and flour. 5. add vanilla. 6. Mix well. 7. Form into fancy shapes by using a cookie press. 8. place on ungreased cookie sheet. 9. Bake 8 to 10 minutes. |
