From The Rancho-Temecula Area Women's Club Cookbook. Submitted by Janet Sturtz. Ingredients:
1 cup oil |
1 cup brown sugar |
1 cup white sugar |
2 eggs |
2 cups mashed bananas (about 3 large) |
1 1/2 cups white flour |
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla |
1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts or 1 1/2 cups pecans |
1/2 teaspoon cardamom |
2 teaspoons baking soda |
2 tablespoons hot water |
Directions:
1. Mix ingredients in order. 2. Bake in 350 oven. 3. Bake 1 large loaf for 1 hour or 2 small loaf pans for 45 minutes. 4. Great with creamed cheese. |
