Dandelions!! This comes from a foraging yahoo group I am on. Ingredients:
1/2 cup shortening |
1/4 cup white sugar, plus |
2 tablespoons white sugar |
1/4 cup brown sugar, plus |
2 tablespoons brown sugar |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 egg |
1/4 cup dandelion flowers |
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour |
Directions:
1. Mix together the sugars + shortening until creamy. 2. Add vanilla and egg and beat well. 3. Mix all dry ingredients including petals. 4. Drop by spoonfuls or roll into balls about 1/2 inch diameter on ungreased cookie sheet. 375* for about 7 minutes or til golden brown. |
