A crisp nutty crust combine with a moist fruity bottom layer. This is a dump-cake recipe that is easy ,but very special. Can be serve hot or cold.Good topped with whipped cream or ice cream.My grandson Dalton ask for it often. Read more . Even kids can help. Also great for potluck(it travels well). Ingredients:
1(26-ounce) can cherry pie filling |
1(15-ounce)can of diced pear packed in juice or light syrup |
1 teaspoon almond extract |
1 stick of butter,cut in small pieces |
1(18.25-ounce) boxed yellow cake mix |
1/4 cup rolled oats |
1/4 cup sliced almonds or walnuts |
1/4 cup brown sugar |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees 2. Spray a 9 by 13 baking pan with cooking spray . 3. Mixed together pie filling,pears,and extract in a large bowl, 4. Pour fruit mix evenly into the prepared pan. 5. Sprinkle cake mix over fruit mix. 6. Dot evenly with butter. 7. Combine rolled oats,nuts, and brown sugar in small bowl. 8. Sprinkle over cake mix. 9. Bake in preheated oven for 55 minutes. |
