A dear friend of mine gave me this recipe after his son kept telling me his dad's beans were better than mine! As soon as I tasted them I knew he was right and this recipe was a keeper. Ingredients:

1/2 pound lean ground beef |
                                                1 onion, chopped |
1/2 pound bacon, cooked and crumbled |
                                                1 (15 ounce) can baked beans |
1 (15 ounce) can lima beans, drained |
1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, drained |
                                                1/2 cup ketchup |
                                                1/2 cup brown sugar |
                                                1 teaspoon prepared mustard |

                    Directions:

                                1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). 2. In a Dutch oven, saute the ground beef and onion for 5 to 10 minutes, or until beef is browned; drain excess fat. Stir in the bacon, baked beans, lima beans, kidney beans, ketchup, brown sugar and mustard. Mix all together well and cover. 3. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for about 1 hour. |
