Four days of snowed in = cabin fever. Cure = chili. This is a combination of several recipes using what I had in the house. Surprisingly good! Ingredients:
1 lb extra lean ground beef |
16 ounces tomato sauce |
1 garlic clove, diced |
1 tablespoon dried onion flakes |
1/2 teaspoon celery salt |
16 ounces salsa |
2 teaspoons cumin |
2 tablespoons chili powder |
1 1/2 teaspoons pepper |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 cup water |
1 tablespoon brown sugar |
Directions:
1. Brown ground beef and drain off all fat. 2. Add the diced garlic clove to the beef and cook until softened. 3. Add all remaining ingredients. 4. Cook on low heat for 3 hours, stirring from time to time. |
