Ingredients:
1 small onion, minced |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon cumin, ground |
1 tablespoon oil |
3 cups red lentils |
1 kombu seaweed, strip |
12 cups water |
salt, to taste |
2 tablespoons cilantro |
lemon slice, to garnish |
Directions:
1. Saute onion, cinnamon& cumin in oil in a stockpot until the onion is translucent, about 2 minutes. 2. Stir in the lentils, kombu& water. 3. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover& simmer for 1 hour. 4. Season to taste& garnish with cilantro& lemon slices. |
