A healthier version of typical tea biscuits. They are moist and delicious for an addition to any meal. My Dad makes these regularly! Ingredients:
2 cups white flour |
2 cups whole wheat flour |
7 tsp baking powder |
1/2 tsp baking soda |
1 tsp salt |
1/4 cup white sugar |
1 egg beaten |
1 tbsp vinegar in 1 3/4 cup milk |
1/2 cup oil |
Directions:
1. Mix all dry ingredients 2. Measure milk, add vinegar, egg and oil. 3. Add wet to dry. Mix well. 4. Flour counter and dough mixture. 5. Knead! 6. Roll or pat with hands and cut with cookie cutter or clean can. 7. It is important to not use a glass as both ends need to be open. If you use a can, use a canopener to open the other end as well. If you use a glass, the biscuits will be flat. |
