My dad used to make these all the time. Very good! Ingredients:
3 eggs |
1 cup milk |
2 tablespoons melted butter |
1 cup flour |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon sugar |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. 2. Thoroughly beat eggs. 3. add milk and melted butter. 4. sift together flour and salt. 5. gradually beat in flour/salt mixture and sugar. 6. Generously grease deep glass baking cups or muffin tin. 7. Set cups in a shallow baking pan. 8. Pour batter into cups filling them about 1/2 full for tall popovers. 9. Bake in oven 50 minutes to 1 hour. 10. Depending on size, popovers should be high, crusty and well browned when thoroughly baked. |
