The classic drink from old Cuba is said to have been concocted by expatriate American miners with time on their hands. These tart, lime-loaded daiquiris were created by recipe developer Jeanne Thiel Kelley's father, when he had time on his hands. Ingredients:
1 cup (generous) ice cubes |
1/3 cup frozen limeade concentrate |
1/4 cup fresh lime juice |
1/4 cup amber barbados rum |
additional ice cubes |
2 lime wedges |
Directions:
1. Combine 1 cup ice, limeade concentrate, lime juice, and rum in blender. Blend until ice is crushed and mixture is blended. 2. Place additional ice cubes in 2 glasses. Pour daiquiri mixture ice. Garnish with lime wedges and serve. |
