This is a really easy recipe for a great chili. I have never put beans in it but I am sure it would be good with them. My favorite way to kick off the fall season. Unfortunately living in Arizona that isn't until Halloween! :)
Ingredients:
2 lbs ground beef
4 teaspoons fresh garlic
2 teaspoons cumin
1 diced white onion
1/4 cup chili powder
2 tablespoons flour
1 tablespoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper (or to taste)
10 ounces rotel
14 1/2 ounces diced tomatoes
1 cup water
1 -3 jalapeno, diced with seeds (i do this to taste, but i usually use three for the batch)
Directions:
1. Brown meat with the onions and drain to remove the grease.
2. Add the water first, then the remaining ingredients.
3. Bring to a boil then simmer for at least 45 minutes.
4. Serve with Saltines, Cornbread or your favorite chili fixins'.
