This is a really easy recipe for a great chili. I have never put beans in it but I am sure it would be good with them. My favorite way to kick off the fall season. Unfortunately living in Arizona that isn't until Halloween! :) Ingredients:
2 lbs ground beef |
4 teaspoons fresh garlic |
2 teaspoons cumin |
1 diced white onion |
1/4 cup chili powder |
2 tablespoons flour |
1 tablespoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper (or to taste) |
10 ounces rotel |
14 1/2 ounces diced tomatoes |
1 cup water |
1 -3 jalapeno, diced with seeds (i do this to taste, but i usually use three for the batch) |
Directions:
1. Brown meat with the onions and drain to remove the grease. 2. Add the water first, then the remaining ingredients. 3. Bring to a boil then simmer for at least 45 minutes. 4. Serve with Saltines, Cornbread or your favorite chili fixins'. |
