Easiest dinner in the world! Just flick the rice cooker switch, cut the fish, tear the seaweed and YOU'RE DONE faster than you can say Itadakimasu! Ingredients:
1/2 lb salmon, sushi-grade |
2 sheets nori |
1/2-1 cup rice, nishiki (optional) |
soy sauce |
lemon |
wasabi |
Directions:
1. Rinse rice in water and prepare in a sauce pan or rice cooker with 2 cups of water. 2. Prepare Sushi Rice Mix (Optional): mix together rice vinegar, sugar and salt in a saucepan in low to medium heat until mixture is clear. 3. When rice has cooked, transfer to a non-reactive bowl and pour sushi rice while stirring rice. 4. Cut Salmon into 1/4 by 1 1/25 inch thick slices. 5. Cut Nori into 1x3 inch pieces. 6. For Dip: Mix soy sauce and lemon (and wasabi if preferred). 7. Serve Rice, salmon, and nori and soy sauce dip separtely for guests to assemble on their own. |
