A lovely custardy bar with the lucious taste of pear and cinnamon. Ingredients:
1/2 c butter, softened |
1/3 c sugar |
3/4 c flour |
1/4 t vanilla |
2/3 c chopped pecans |
filling |
1 pkg (8oz) cream cheese, softened |
1/2 c sugar |
1 egg |
1/2 t vanilla |
1 can (15 1/4 oz) pear halves, drained |
topping |
1 t sugar |
1/2 t ground cinnamon |
Directions:
1. In mixing bowl cream butter and sugar. Beat in the flour and vanilla till combined. Sitr in the nuts. Press into a greased 8 square baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or till lightly browned. Cool. 2. In a bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar, egg and vanilla; mix until combined. Pour over crust. Cut pears into 1/8 slices; arrange in a single layer over filling. Combine sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over pears. 3. Bake at 375 degrees for 26 - 30 minutes (center will be soft set and will become firmer upon cooling). Cool in pan for 45 minutes. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting. Store in fridge. 4. Makes about 16 |
