Egg custard, my husband's favorite. Ingredients:
1/2 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust |
6 eggs |
1 cup white sugar |
2 cups milk |
1 pinch salt |
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg |
Directions:
1. Beat eggs with a whisk. Beat in sugar, milk, and salt. Pour filling into pie crust. Sprinkle nutmeg and cinnamon on top. 2. Bake at 425 degrees F (220 degrees C) for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), and continue baking for an additional 45 minutes. |
