Taken from Favourite Recipes From Old Prince Edward Island Kitchens; the amount of vanilla in the recipe was not specified so I'm guessing one teaspoon. Ingredients:
3 eggs, beaten |
2 cups milk |
3 tablespoons white sugar |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. Add milk, sugar and vanilla to beaten eggs. 2. Cook the mixture in a double boiler until the custard thickens. 3. Let custard cool, then pour it into an ice cream freezer and freeze it. |
