Ingredients:
18 apples, golden delicious, peeled, cored and quartered |
1 1/2 cups apple cider |
2 cinnamon sticks |
1 teaspoon ginger |
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg |
1/4 teaspoon cloves |
1/4 mace |
1 1/4 cups sugar |
2 tablespoons lemon juice |
Directions:
1. Place all in pot. Cook for 2 1/2 hours, mashing apples occasionally, until color turns deep brown. 2. Tip: APPLE RINGS 3. Slice apples paper thin in rings. Spread on nonstick baking sheet, and bake at 220 degrees for one hour. |
