This is one of the ones I haven't tried yet. Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs beef stew meat |
1 onion, cut into 1/4-inch slices |
1 large potato, cut into 6 pieces |
2 large dried chinese mushrooms, prepared and cut into quarters |
4 tablespoons soy sauce |
1 tablespoon curry powder with 2 tblsp. water |
1 tablespoon sugar |
1 cup water |
1 teaspoon salt |
3 tablespoons oil |
Directions:
1. Heat oil in pot until hot. 2. Saute onion until brown; about 5 minutes. 3. Add beef and sugar; stir-fry 3 minutes. 4. Add soy sauce, salt and water; bring to boil. 5. Cover and simmer 2 hours. 6. Add potato, mushrooms and curry mixture; simmer 1 more hour. 7. Serve hot. |
