I was looking for a good recipe for a homemade bar-b-que sauce I could use on pork chops, but I couldn't find one I liked so I made my own. So far I've only used it on pork chops I cooked in the oven. It's super easy and fast. And it's tasty too! Even my 3 year-old and my husband like it. Ingredients:
1/2 cup ketchup |
2 teaspoons dry mustard (like colman's) |
2 teaspoons curry powder |
1 pinch salt |
1 tablespoon vinegar (white or cider) |
1 teaspoon paprika |
1/4 cup brown sugar (or 2 tablespoons maple syrup) |
Directions:
1. Mix ingredients together in order listed, stirring after each ingredient. 2. Brush on meat before cooking, reapply about 15 minutes before meat is done. 3. I recommend making extra sauce or reserving some aside to go with the meal. |
