Curried Shrimp With Marmalade Soy Dip |

Very old newpaper clipping I found Ingredients:
2 lbs shrimp |
1 egg, beaten |
1 tablespoon water |
1 cup breadcrumbs, toasted |
2 teaspoons curry powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
1/4 cup oil |
marmalade, soy dip |
1/3 orange marmalade |
1/4 cup lemon juice |
1/4 cup soy sauce |
1 garlic clove, minced |
1 dash ginger |
1 teaspoon cornstarch |
Directions:
1. peel and devein shrimp. rinse in cold water. 2. combine egg and water in a bowl. 3. combine dry ingredients in another bowl. 4. dip shrimp in egg then in dry ingredients. place on a well greased cookie sheet. drizzle oil over shrimp. 5. bake 500 degrees for 10-15 minutes or until brown. serve with marmalade dip. 6. to make dip: combine ingredients and mix well. cook stiring constantly. 7. until clear and thickened. serve hot. |
