madras curry paste with lentils and barley Ingredients:
1/2 c lentils, dry |
1/2 c barley, dry |
1/2 c peppers, sweet |
3/4 c carrot, chopped |
1/4 c onion, sweet |
1 tsp olive oil |
Directions:
1. saute carrot, onions and peppers in olive oil for 5 min. Add ginger and garlic, saute 1 min. Add curry powder and cumin. Add lentils and barley, then 1-2 cups of water and salt. Simmer until done. |
