I got this recipe from a cookbook “Wonderful Ways to Cook Curries” I paid 50c for the book in a thrift shop and don’t plan to keep the poor old thing. I haven’t made this recipe, but we eat a lot of curries and I know I will. Remember an Australian tablespoon is 4 teaspoons. Ingredients:
500 g ground chicken |
2 cups fresh breadcrumbs |
1 large onion, chopped |
250 g tomatoes, chopped |
3 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander |
1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger |
3 garlic cloves, minced |
1 teaspoon garam masala |
1 teaspoon cumin |
1/4 teaspoon cayenne |
2 teaspoons salt |
1 egg, beaten |
60 g butter |
Directions:
1. Mix the chicken meat with 1 cup of breadcrumbs and the remaining ingredients except the butter. 2. Form into patties. 3. Coat with the remaining breadcrumbs. 4. Fry in the butter over medium heat until golden and cooked through. |
