I love the apples & shrimp together in this curry sauce - make it hotter or milder just make sure you do not overide the flavor of the shrimp. Ingredients:
4 tablespoons butter |
1/2 cup onion, peeled & chopped |
2 stalks celery, cut into 1/4 inch pieces |
2 large apples, cored, peeled and thinly sliced |
3/4 cup water |
2 teaspoons flour |
1 1/2 teaspoons curry powder |
1 chicken bouillon cube |
1 lb raw shrimp, peeled & deveined |
Directions:
1. Melt the butter and saute the onions& celery for apprx 2 minutes. 2. Add apple and saute for another minute. 3. Mix flour, curry, chicken cube& water together. 4. Pour in with the onion& celery, bring to a boil and stir until the chicken cube has dissolved. 5. You can now leave it until dinner time or continue on. 6. If you have left it and the sauce is cold bring it to a slow boil. 7. Add shrimp, stir and cook for no more than 3 minutes (just until the shrimp turn pink). 8. Serve immediately. 9. Goes well over rice. |
