Simple vanilla frosting is a great topper for any cupcake. Annie frosted 300 cupcakes with this recipe for her wedding in lieu of a traditional cake. It made for a delicious bridal twist. âAnnie Rundle, Milwaukee, Wisconsin Ingredients:
1 cup shortening |
1 cup butter, softened |
8 cups confectioners' sugar |
6 tablespoons milk |
2 teaspoons clear vanilla extract |
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, beat shortening and butter until light and fluffy. Add the confectioners' sugar, milk and vanilla; beat until smooth. Yield: 5-1/2 cups. |
