Raita (also spelled raitha) is an Indian condiment based on yogurt (dahi) and used as a sauce or dip. Ingredients:
cucumber - 1/2 |
green chillies - 2 diced |
yoghurt - 1.5 cup |
oil - 1/2 tsp |
mustard whole - 1/2 tsp |
salt - 1/4 tsp |
coriander - 1 tbsp chopped |
Directions:
1. Whisk the yoghurt in a bowl. 2. Add salt and mix it. 3. Remove the cucumber skin and grate the cucumber. 4. Add the cucumber and coriander to the yoghurt and mix. 5. Take oil in a pan. Once hot add the mustard and let it splutter. Then add the green chillies and cook for 1 min. Add the tempering to the yoghurt mix. 6. Serve with Biryani or any of the rice. |
