Cube Steak With Onion Mushroom Gravy |

Made this last night. Hubby really enjoyed this one. Serve with mashed potatoes. Mmmmm. Ingredients:
1 lb cube steak (approx. 2) |
2 tablespoons olive oil |
1/4 cup flour |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1 medium onion, chopped |
4 medium mushrooms, sliced |
1/2 garlic clove, minced |
1 -2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce |
1 cup beef stock or 1 cup beef broth |
Directions:
1. Mix flour & pepper and place on a flat plate. 2. Add cube steaks covering with mixture well. 3. In a large fry pan with a lid, brown the cube steaks in oil. 4. Add onions, mushrooms & garlic. 5. Saute about 1 miniute. 6. Add stock & worcestershire sauce and bring to a low boil, scraping the pan to loosen brown bits. 7. Cover pan & lower heat to a low simmer. 8. Stirring occasionally. 9. Cook 1 1/2 hours. Serves 2-4. |
