2 lbs ground beef |
1 (29 ounce) can tomato sauce |
2 (29 ounce) cans kidney beans (drained) |
1 cup diced onion |
1/2 cup celery, diced |
3 medium tomatoes, chopped |
2 teaspoons cumin powder |
3 tablespoons chili powder (more if desired) |
1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper |
2 teaspoons salt |
2 cups water |
1 cup green pepper |
2 garlic cloves, minced |
Directions:
1. brown ground beef over medium heat, drain off fat. using fork crumble the beef into pea-size pieces, combine the beef plus all the remaining ingredients and bring to a simmer over low heat. cook, stirring every 15 minutes for 2-3 hours. |
