Crusty Wheat French Bread |

an easy, yet yummy frnech bread that takes just a small amount of hands on time to make. Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup water |
1 t vegetable oil |
2 t dry milk |
2 c all-purpose flour |
2 c whole wheat pastry flour |
2 t sugar |
2 t sea salt |
2 t active dry yeast |
1 egg white, whisked with 1 t cold water (to be brushed near end of baking) |
Directions:
1. add first 8 ingrediants to bread machine 2. select dough setting 3. punch down bread and then let rise for 45 minutes to 1 hour 4. knead lightley and form into two loaves 5. slit tops, cover with towel and let rise another hour 6. preheat oven to 400 7. place pie plate on lower rack of oven fill 1 inch with boiling water 8. bake 15 minutes 9. lower heat to 350 and bake another 25 minutes 10. 5 minutes before done brush with egg white mixture |
