My sister made this for our Christmas Eve family party and it was a HUGE hit, probably the most popular dessert at the table. Believe it or not is is sugar-free and oh-so simple. The recipe came from a bariatric cookbook. Ingredients:
10 granny smith apples |
1 cup splenda granular |
1/2 cup water |
1 -2 teaspoon cinnamon |
Directions:
1. Peel and dice apples. 2. Place apples in a crockpot. 3. Mix Splenda and cinnamon in the water and pour over apples. 4. Cook on low 4-5 hours or until apples are soft. 5. Serve warm with fat-free or sugar-free cool whip. |
