AWESOME asparagus dish that I make often! This is a German dish I found at a world wide recipes site several months ago. Ingredients:
2 lbs asparagus, trimmed and boiled or steamed until barely tender |
3 tablespoons butter |
1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese |
1/4 cup heavy cream or 1/4 cup half-and-half |
salt & freshly ground black pepper |
Directions:
1. Place the cooked asparagus in a buttered baking dish. 2. Dot with butter and sprinkle with the cheese. 3. Add the cream and season with salt and pepper. 4. Bake in a preheated 450F (230C) oven 10 to 15 minutes, until the topping is golden brown. |
