Crushed Blueberry Sauce

Nice,easy and tasty blueberry sauce. Great over ice cream,pancakes,waffles etc.
Ingredients:
3c fresh blueberries or frozen(thawed)(13 to 14 oz.),divided
2/3c(packed) golden brown sugar
2tsp fresh lemon juice
1/2tsp finely grated lemon peel
pinch of salt
Directions:
1. Combine 11/2c blueberries and all remaining ingredients in med. saucepan. Stir over med. heat until sugar dissolves and mixture comes to a simmer,about 7 mins.
2. Reduce heat to med-low and simmer till berries are very soft and liquid is sypupy,stirring often,about 7 mins. Remove from heat;add remaining blueberries.
3. Using back of spoon,gently press fresh berries against the side of the pan until lightly crushed..Note: Can be made 2 days ahead. Cover and chill. Serve chilled or rewarm before serving,if desired.
