A different salad that we enjoy when it's hot out. I've added seafood or hard boiled eggs and used it as a main course. Should be chilled for 2 hours Ingredients:
dressing |
1/2 c sour cream |
2 tbsp. white vinegar |
1 tbsp. milk |
2 tsp. sugar |
3/4 tsp. salt |
1/8 tsp. garlic powder |
2 10 oz packages frozen peas, thawed |
1 8-oz can sliced water chestnuts |
1/4 c sliced green onion |
3 slices cooked bacon pieces |
Directions:
1. To make dressing combine: 2. SOUR CREAM, VINEGAR, MILK, SUGAR, SALT AND GARLIC POWDER. 3. IN A LARGE BOWL, COMBINE PEAS, WATER CHESTNUTS, ONION, AND BACON PIECES. ADD DRESSING, TOSS LIGHTLY TO COAT. COVER AND CHILL. |
