Ingredients:
1 cup butter or margarine, softened |
2 cups sugar |
3 eggs |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
2 cups all-purpose flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 1/2 cups regular oats, uncooked |
1 cup chopped walnuts |
Directions:
1. Cream butter in a large mixing bowl; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add eggs and vanilla, beating well. 2. Sift together flour, soda, and salt in a small mixing bowl; stir into creamed mixture, mixing well. Stir in oats and walnuts. 3. Drop by teaspoonfuls 3 inches apart onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375° for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from cookie sheets, and cool on wire racks. 4. Note: One cup flaked coconut may be added to batter. |
