Serves six big servings-crunchy crispy ice cream bars, vary the ice cream flavors to suit your tastes. Ingredients:
1/2 cup of peanut butter |
1/2 cup of light karo corn syrup |
4 cups of cocoa krispie cereal |
1 pint brick style ice cream, your favorite flavor |
Directions:
1. Mix corn syrup and peanut butter thoroughly. 2. Add cocoa cereal and stir until well coated. 3. Press mixture into the bottom of a buttered 9 x 13 pan and place in freezer or coldest part of the refrigerator until firm. 4. Cut in half and lay 1/2 inch thick slices of ice cream on one half of the cereal. 5. (It is much easier to slice ice cream in brick form by peeling off the cardboard carton). 6. Cover with the other half of the krispie mix to make a sandwich . 7. Cover and freeze. 8. Slice into squares to serve. |
