I got this recipe from TOH, I think. I have had it so long I really don't remember. My husband loves fried mushrooms and he is very fond of this one. Ingredients:
2 eggs |
1 cup milk |
1 cup flour |
1 teaspoon pepper |
2 teaspoons salt |
1 cup seasoned bread crumbs |
1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated |
1/2 teaspoon dill weed |
1 lb fresh mushrooms |
Directions:
1. Combine egg and milk in one bowl. Mix flour, pepper, salt, bread crumbs, cheese, and dill weed in another bowl. Place mushrooms in the egg misture, coating well. Then coat in bread mixture. Let stand for a few minutes before frying. Deep fry until golden brown. |
