1/2 cup dark brown sugar |
2 teaspoons lemon juice |
1 1/2 cups toasted wheat germ |
1 tablespoon vegetable oil |
1/4 cup chopped pecans |
Directions:
1. In a large skillet, combine the brown sugar and lemon juice. 2. Cook over low heat, stirring frequently, for 2 minutes or until the sugar has melted. 3. Stir in the wheat germ and oil, and cook, stirring frequently for 9 minutes or until richly brown. 4. Stir in the pecans and cook for 1 minute. 5. Cool to room temperature, transfer to an airtight container, and store at room temperature for up to 3 days. Freeze for longer storage. |
