Crunchy Chili and Brown Sugar Pecans |

This is an easy party appetizer or a friend and neighbor holiday gift. One word of caution tho- make plenty because they're positively addicting! Ingredients:
4 cups raw pecan halves |
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted |
1 1/2 tablespoons chili powder |
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional) |
1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. 3. Place pecans and melted butter in a large bowl and toss until nuts are well-coated. 4. Add remaining ingredients and toss again. 5. Transfer to prepared baking sheet and arrange in a single layer. 6. Bake until lightly browned, about 20 minutes. 7. Remove from oven, immediately loosen nuts with a metal spatula and set aside to cool before serving or placing in gift containers. 8. Makes 4 cups. |
