Crunchy cookies with a lot of flavor. Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 cup shortening |
1 cup packed brown sugar |
1 cup white sugar |
2 eggs |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
2 cups quick cooking oats |
2 cups crisp rice cereal |
1 cup shredded coconut |
Directions:
1. Mix, flour, salt and soda together. Cream shortening until fluffy; add both kinds of sugar gradually, beat until smooth and creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each one. 2. Stir in vanilla and flour mixture; add cereal, oats, and coconut. 3. Form into small balls and place on greased cookie sheets and bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 12 to 15 minutes. |
