12 oz. plain flour |
8 oz. butter |
1 oz. suagar |
1 large egg. |
crumblee topping |
6 oz. flour |
4 1/2 oz. butter |
3 oz. caster sugar |
Directions:
1. PREPARE TOPPING BY RUBBING TOGETHER FLOUR AND BUTTER TILL IT RESEMBLES BREADCRUMBS. ADD SUGAR AND MIX WELL. PUT TO ONE SIDE. 2. CREAM THE BUTTER AND EGG TOGETHER, ADDING THE FLOUR TO MAKE A PASTRY 3. ROLL OUT AND CUT INTO ROUNDS PLACING THEM IN INDIVIDUAL SMALL BAKING TINS. 4. PEEL AND CHOP THE APPLE INTO TINY PIECES AND ADD THIS TO THE MINCEMEAT 5. PLACE A SPOONFUL OF THE MINCEMEAT MIXTURE INTO EACH PASTRY CASE 6. THEN TOP EACH TART WITH THE CRUMBLE MIX. 7. THIS MAKES A DELICIOUS AND TANGY MINCE TART |
