If you get tired of plain simmered vegetables here is a way to spruce up green beans. Ingredients:
1 lb fresh green beans |
1/4 cup butter |
1/3 cup plain breadcrumbs |
2 tablespoons parmesan cheese (in the green can) |
2 tablespoons sliced almonds |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in frying pan. 2. Add breadcrumbs and lightly brown. 3. When these ingredients cool sprinkle in Parmesan cheese. 4. Cook green beans until tender, drain. 5. Sprinkle on crumb mixture, top with almonds. |
