This is a recipe that has been in my family for years. It is so EASY to make! Serve it with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream and enjoy. Ingredients:
1 deep dish pie shell |
1/2 cup sugar |
1/3 cup brown sugar |
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg |
3 cups sliced apples |
3/4 cup all-purpose flour |
1/2 cup sugar |
1/3 cup margarine |
Directions:
1. Mix all dry ingredients together. 2. Add sliced apples and coat well. 3. Pour mixture into pie shell and top with crumb topping mixture. 4. Crumb Topping: Mix flour and sugar together and cut margarine into this finely and pour over top of pie. 5. Bake in a preheated oven at 325* for about 1 hour. |
